Our friend Stephen McCaskell approached our team, asking us to provide direction and animation for a title sequence and interstitial graphics for an upcoming documentary about the Puritans (a group of English Protestants in the 16th and 17th centuries).
So, we put on our director's hats (feathered, of course, in this case) and worked with our amazing friend Eleena Bakrie to come up with a visual direction that would fit the historical nature of the film, while also leveraging some more modern techniques to give everything a more "current" look and feel.
The result is a short title sequence and several animated graphics throughout the documentary that give the whole film a unified visual direction, and help the viewer engage with some of the information and perspectives presented.
